A leocrotta is a fast, hard-hitting monster that can easily maul a low-level player. If you see one, use whatever means necessary to get away. These creatures are very fast and will pound your lifeless corpse into a fine mist within a few turns. If you get caught next to one in a corridor, engrave Elbereth or quit.
