Lethe Gorge

The Lethe Gorge is a dungeon branch in the Lethe patch, located between the Dungeon of Doom and Gehennom and starting immediately below Medusa's Island. It has nine levels, each with a fixed layout, as described below. All of the levels of the Lethe Gorge have the 'lethe' flag, meaning that entering the water will cause amnesia.

This layout for the riverhead contains two sleeping red dragons at the marked positions, guarding a hoard composed of a chest, six eggs, a random wand, a luckstone, four other random gems, and 11 piles of gold; the lair also contains a squeaky board at the marked position. The lake at the center of the map contains two electric eels and 11 other random ;. The island in the lake is inhabited by four winged gargoyles, and also contains four random statues and a chest containing a cursed magic lamp and a potion of oil. The [ mark indicated a blessed +2 leather armor and a cursed -2 leather armor. The lower area contains a random dragon, guarding a hoard composed of four piles of gold, a scroll of enchant weapon, a random wand, and four random gems. There are two sleeping clay golems in the upper left room, as well as a cursed scroll of teleportation and a scroll of amnesia at the ? mark. The 't' marks indicate a trapper (right) and a lurker above (left). Also located on the level are a vampire bat, a raven, two other random B, three rust traps, two pits, and three other random traps.
