A magic lamp, cost 50, is a special kind of lamp which has two main uses.
Rubbing a magic lamp has a chance of summoning a djinni. This djunni may grant you a wish, may be peaceful, or may be hostile. Blessed magic lamps have higher chances of granting wishes.
After the djinni has been summmoned, the magic lamp becomes a regular oil lamp, which then may run out of oil.
Otherwise, a magic lamp provides light and never runs out of power, making it a useful tool to take into Gehennom and other dark places.
