The Nazgul are monsters in NetHack. Their ability to breathe sleeping gas leaves some adventurers unprepared, allowing them to close and begin attacking mercilessly.

As one might expect from their source mythos, they are generated with cursed rings of invisibility, knives and long swords and become extinct after nine of them have been generated.
