A pudding is a monster found in Nethack. There are two types of puddings, Brown pudding and Black pudding. Both are notable for the fact that hitting them with an iron weapon will cause them to split and that they can cause equipment damage of some sort, either rust or rot. They are the basis of Pudding farming.
