Shield block is a technique in SlashTHEM[1] .
It requires a shield to be worn, but upon use it causes all physical attack types to be blocked by the worn shield, with the damage being subtracted from [[energy[[ instead of [[HP[[. It lasts for d(3,4) + TECHLEV turns. Knights, Valkyries and Warriors gain this technique at experience level 1, Paladins and Gladiators at level 3, and Undead Slayers and Priests at level 7.
