considering that shop-keepers won't allow them in store, is there theoretically, any reason to have 2 (or more) pick-axes?  I 'm quessing yes, but as a practical concern would you ever do so?  Guessing answer conditional, I ask, any brief insights as to when to fish or cut bait on such a situation?00:24, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

If you can't carry much weight, you might deposit several pick-axes around the dungeon instead of carrying one. A pet dwarf can tunnel out maze levels with a pick. :: Are pick-axes ever generated with nonzero enchantments?  I always figured since they're tools, they're always generated +0 and uncursed; I know I've never found a cursed or enchanted one outside of a bones pile.  This is in contrast to mattocks, which are considered weapons and which I've definitely found cursed. -[[User:Ion frigate|Ion frigate]] 22:15, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Cursory examination of the code suggests that pick-axe skill plays no part in digging with a pick-axe. Someone more knowledgeable cold say for sure.76.22.123.186 06:53, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Blessing?

Does blessing affect the results one obtains whilst digging with a pick-axe?

IIRC, how much you dig is closely related to how much damage you would have done to a monster. So enchantement and erosion definitely matter, but I don't thing beatitude does. -Tjr 19:19, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
