I've taken an interest in shuriken while playing Samurai for Nhwaww conduct since wielding a yumi is asking for trouble. Shuriken are a real problem to maintain due to rarity+breakage. Even once I'd ramped up luck, enchanted the things to +4, erodeproofed and blessed them my unprecedented stack of 26 disappeared eventually.

The Samurai quest levels seem to contain some every time I've been there, but this may be a co-incidence. Despite this I can't honestly recommend specialising in this weapon under any circumstances even with the handy damage.--PeterGFin 10:03, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

AFAICT, it is a coincidence. The Samurai.des quest file doesn't define any shuriken, only random weapons. Also, neither ninja nor roshi get shuriken when generated. --paxed 11:30, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
You can and should enchant them to +7 or +6 to minimize breakage. If you want to specialize on shuriken, why not polymorph a truckload of enchanted darts and arrows? --Tjr 11:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
