The wand of death is arguably the most powerful wand in the game, but also quite dangerous. One of the major sources of YASD's is the fabled Gnome/Soldier With a Wand of Death.
Zapping it sends a ray of death towards an enemy, which will instantly die if not Death, magic resistant, a demon, or nonliving. The same criteria apply to the player character.
The wand of death has a base cost of 500, the same as the wand of wishing.
