Amulet of drain resistance
An amulet of drain resistance is a type of amulet that appears in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM and Hack'EM.

Generation
There is a rule for the hero's initial inventory that prevents Necromancers from being given an amulet of drain resistance since the property would be redundant for them, though no role or race can start the game with random amulets regardless.[1]
The amulet of drain resistance makes up 3⁄50 (6%) of all randomly-generated amulets in SLASH'EM and Hack'EM, and makes up 1⁄20 (5%) of all randomly-generated amulets in SlashTHEM. General stores and jewelers shops can sell amulets of drain resistance.
Description
A hero putting on the amulet gains the drain resistance extrinsic property, which blocks level drain effects from various attacks and items.
Eating the amulet has no effect.[2]
Strategy
Drain resistance becomes very important in SLASH'EM from the mid-game on due to the presence of the wand of draining, and the amulet is a valuable non-artifact source of the property overall—this is especially true for neutral heroes in SLASH'EM, where The Staff of Aesculapius no longer has drain resistance while wielded.
The amulet of drain resistance often competes for the amulet slot in most late-game kits and ascension kits with the amulet of life saving and amulet of flying: while swapping amulets can balance this out in theory, a fast enough monster may be able to drain multiple levels from you before you can fully replace your amulet. A blessed potion of restore ability in SLASH'EM and SlashTHEM can restore multiple drained levels, so always keep a couple on hand even after securing a source of drain resistance.
