At Skilled and Expert skill, chakrams gain the focus fire expert trait. The chakram is primarily a stackable throwing weapon, and flies in a full circular arc when thrown or fired and receives multishot bonuses from skill. However, it can also be used in melee.
Chakrams count as monk weapons, and can be used to perform mystic moves even while wielding them. All monks start the game with knowledge of the chakram's identified appearance. Hitting with a chakram gives monks full base attack bonus.
