Description
The spellbook and its spell are a pun on the spellbook of detect food: when cast, the spell simply prints a useless foot-related message depending on whether or not the hero is in a form with legs.[1]
Strategy
As a deliberate joke ability, the spell of detect foot is intentionally useless, being as difficult to cast as finger of death for no in-game effect. The spellbook itself is worth 700 zm, making it useful to sell to shopkeepers early on, but otherwise is a prime candidate for polypiling or turning into a spellbook of blank paper.
