Talk:Killed by overexertion

As far as I know, this death is unique to foocubi. And, unless I'm very much mistaken, doesn't it come from "You feel exhausted", which causes a few points of hp damage? I don't have wizard mode right now, but perhaps someone should check that. In any case, there's definitely a non-foocubi life-drainage death message, "killed by life drainage", which I think shows up for foocubi life-drained characters as well. -Ion frigate 02:55, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Death from a Foocubus draining you past level 1. That's why I had redirected to the level loss, rather than foocubus. Foocubus is probably a better choice, though. Death by exhaustion would be the HP-draining result. Ref: Source:Mhitu.c#line2286 for the negative effects. -- Qazmlpok 03:19, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, there are two different types of death that can gives this message: 1) Level drain below level 1, and 2) the loss of maximum HP associated with level drain might take your current HP below 0. Tjr 14:38, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- using Drain Life (spell) on myself at level 1 gave me "killed by life drainage". A vampire draining me at level 1 gave the same. I'm pretty sure that only foocubus drainage results in 'overexertion', and the source suggests that the message for HP loss is different. -- Qazmlpok 14:59, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Loss of max HP, not loss of HP. Both are deadly. See this dumplog for an example: [1] Tjr 18:10, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- "Killer: exhaustion". Right. See above; "Death by exhaustion would be the HP-draining result." Death by overexertion, however, refers to the level drain. An example can be found in this max score game; [2] Killer: overexertion -- Qazmlpok 18:56, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh ok, I was wrong about which foocubus death that was. But it does look like it is unique to foocubi. I wonder, though if there should be redirects for all (or any) monster-unique messages and deaths; right now, it seems like they kind of get added randomly. -Ion frigate 22:02, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
