I think Minotaurs have Intrinsic Telepathy too. I polymorphed into one (ring of poly control for the win) and gained it somehow, but lost it again when I changed back. Should this be noted? --206.75.108.8 05:22, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

You can still meet them anywhere

Well, even if they're never "randomly generated," one of them sure ate my lunch in the Gnomish Mines. Polymorph trap, I guess. You can run into them anywhere, not just in mazes. And they hurt!

Never random my ass. And what is one doing on Dlvl7? It's not fun to die like that.

  • Not a polymorph trap on Dlvl 7, but it could be any of the others, or an intelligent monster which was generated with or found a wand/potion of polymorph. Or it could have been some sort of shapeshifter. -- Marcmagus 05:29, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Monsters can't poly themselves to a much higher-level creature, so the wand/potion is unlikely or impossible. 86.136.110.44 00:43, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
      • Those restrictions apply only when the monster uses a wand or potion of polymorph on itself. Shapeshifters can certainly become minotaurs. --Tjr (talk) 09:31, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Invisible minotaur on Dlvl 5

Lvl 10 barbarian (130hp) on level 5, AC 0 (had cleared out the mines) and had just walked out of a shop. It cleaned my clock in two turns. Didn't even know what it was until I saw my headstone. --Mannc (talk) 07:19, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
