Welcome!

Welcome!

Hi, Aximili! Welcome, and thanks for joining NetHackWiki!

  • The How to help and Style guide pages are excellent starting points.
  • Special:Recentchanges is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
  • Questions? Need help? You can ask at the Community Portal, the forum, or on the discussion page associated with each article! Just remember to sign those posts with four tildes: ~~~~. That will expand to create a signature.

You can put {{NAOplayer|NAO player account}} on your user page to link to your NAO player account. Capitalization matters.

We are really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

This is an automated greeting.

Hello hello

Thanks for all the effort you've made thus far to streamline things on a wiki level, it's a great thing to see. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 10:36, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Traps

Just a quick note: a lot of people search for messages on here in order to find a trap that might be unfamiliar to them. We certainly don't need articles for every message, but I personally think the more common ones can stay. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 03:41, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

I don't feel strongly about it either way. I was mainly interested in switching the redirects away from Trap, but while doing so remembered that there were some message redirects in the deletion log a while back. I'll stop adding deletion templates to the trap message redirects, because you are right, they are often pretty handy. --Aximili (talk) 03:50, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Those four you saw all redirected to "Talking to vampires", which is probably a candidate for a proposed future merge into the vampire monster article. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 03:56, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

Worldfall

It's a SLEX-only tech - still exists in the data of THEM but goes unused, since the only playable thing that can use it was deferred. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 07:21, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Section headings in damage type article

According to NetHackWiki:Style_guide#Article_organization, the top of the article may or may not have a level 1 heading (single equals sign). Most articles do not have a level 1 heading so I'm fine with removing that.

However all the other headings should start with level 2 (two equals signs). Why did you change them to level 1? Since there's no reason given in the edit summaries, I'm going to put them back to level 2. Furey (talk) 11:57, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

My mistake, I forgot that typically headings are level 2. —Aximili (talk) 12:10, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
Ah no problem then, easily fixed. (I had a level 1 in there because I was working in user space for the first time, and I thought it would help, turns out all it did was make the final article different without any benefits.) Furey (talk) 12:14, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Lethe Patch

The Lethe patch and SLethe articles have new working external links - letting you know since you were working on incorporating that info into articles, and might want to refer to the patches themselves (the IA link was subject to the Archive's downtime, but should be back up itself). --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 15:07, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, it will be helpful once I (or anyone) return to working on those Lethe patch articles. --Aximili (talk) 02:01, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Acknowledged - replied on the talk page you opened as well. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 10:29, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
