A ladder is a dungeon feature represented by < for an up ladder or > for a down ladder. A ladder behaves much like a staircase.
Generation
Ladders appear only in Vlad's Tower and the Wizard's Tower.
Differences from staircases
Objects dropped on a down ladder are more likely to fall down a level than objects dropped on a down staircase.[1].
