Baby shimmering dragons are monsters unique to SLASH'EM, the baby form of shimmering dragons. Note that in SLASH'EM, baby dragons of all forms are generated randomly like any other monster; adventurers can expect to start seeing them around level 4 or so. Baby shimmering dragons can be a particular problem for early adventurers, as their "displacement" is simulated by much lower armor class; at -4, they can be quite difficult to hit.
They can grow up to become shimmering dragons.
