A ice shield is a type of shield that appears in SporkHack. It is made of iron, and appears as a dark blue shield when unidentified.

Generation
Ice shields make up 1⁄500 (0.2%) of all shields that are randomly generated on the ground, in general shops or as death drops. Used armor dealerships and antique weapon outlets can also stock ice shields.
Description
While worn, a ice shield grants 2 base AC and cold resistance. Despite its material, the ice shield is not considered bulky armor, although it still applies the same level of spellcasting penalty as most other shields due to its weight of 50 aum.[1]
Strategy
The ice shield is fairly valuable for heroes that want to maintain maximum protection against sources of cold damage and have not yet built up enough intrinsic cold resistance from eating corpses. Identification of the shield is trivial due to its unique unidentified appearance.
