A lava wall is a square completely full of lava, with no top or bottom.

Generation

Lava walls generate exclusively in certain variants of the Big Room.

Description

Lava walls are similar to lava; unlike lava, however, they cannot be frozen. Levitation and flight do not function inside lava walls, although water walking boots work as normal. Walking into one will always submerge you, with the same effect as walking into floor lava.

Strategy

If you walk into a lava wall and do not immediately die, you will not be able to freeze your way out. Jumping or zapping a wand of opening downward also don't help, since levitation doesn't apply and you'll just get stuck again. The only options are to walk out onto a land square (not more lava), teleport out, or die and be life-saved to a different location.
