I don't know, but #untrap can be used to rescue pets from pits. unsigned by User:N8chz

Yes, #untrap is correct. I had momentarily forgotten. Maybe I need to take a break from editing wiki to play NetHack... --Kernigh 00:57, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Keeping pets from falling back in

I #untrap(ped) my pet tiger twice, but each time it immediately fell back in. the pit trap was in a corner, but there were to spaces adjacent to the pit trap open, and one space behind me open. Are there any ways to reduce the chances of your pet falling back in? (I didn't get a message telling me that the tiger was too heavy to lift out)Yidda 01:03, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Is it really safe to stash stuff in a filled in pit?

I have a vague recollection that organic stuff might rot. Is this correct?

Improvement

Can someone tell that if you make a boulder go towards a pit while there's a monster inside, the monster is killed.

Pits and spiked pits

I'm thinking of copying/transplanting the info on spiked pits here and further detailing it, then pointing the redirect here instead. Any suggestions/objections/relevant commentary? --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 19:14, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

Seems sensible to me. Pinkbeast (talk) 19:34, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
