Cerberus is a unique hell hound found in the Windowless Tower in dNetHack. He's not particularly difficult, but can pose a serious threat to early game characters attempting to clear the Tower without fire resistance or a sufficient health pool. When eaten, his corpse grants fire resistance for quite a long time - but not permanently.
