Fire pillar
Fire pillar is a high-level monster spell in NetHack. It is a clerical spell that targets your square and deals 8d6 damage, which can be halved with half spell resistance; fire resistance nullifies the damage entirely.[1][2] Like all fire attacks, it can burn flammable armor, weapons and other items in your inventory, and cures sliming.
