Chatting with a gypsie can be very useful, provided you have luck, money, and time.

When chatting to a gypsy, these choices will show themselves :

Fortune telling

The gypsy reads your fortune. The effects of this are determined by the card. List coming soon.

Card with an effect

  • Zero of trumps (the fool) : You feel foolish : You lose one point wisdom.
  • 2 of trumps (The high pristess) : "I see a high altar on level <level of the altar of moloch>"
  • 4 of trumps (The lovers) : A foocubus of the opposite sex appears
  • 5 of trumps (The chariot) : "For 5000 credit I will teleport you to a level of your choosing!"
  • 10 of trumps (Punisment) : You are being punished for your misbehavior : You are chained to an iron ball
  • 11 of trumps (The devil) : The voice of moloch booms : "Thou shalt pay for thy indescretion : the <demon name> of mloch appears before you
  • 12 of trumps (Sorcery) : Augments your wisdom
  • 15 of trumps (The star) : "The gypsy reaches behind your head and pulls out a <name of the stone>" : The gypsy pulls a precious stone out of the back of your head.

Cards Which do nothing, but have a message

  • 2 of rings, Change : Your powers will be to the test soon ..
  • 3 of rings, Works : You will meet new challenges
  • 5 of rings, Worry : Your worst nightmares will come true
  • 8 of rings, Prudence : Next full moon is an excellent time to try to please your god
  • 3 of swords, Sorrow : Your relationships will be shaky
  • 6 of swords, Science : Your intellect will aid you soon
  • 7 of swords, Futility : You should stop tryiing to bend fate
  • 9 of swords, Cruelty : The cards are stacked against you.
  • 2 of wands, Dominion : You must not let evil overcome you
  • 7 of wands, Valour : Your strength will be put to the test in coming times
  • 14 of trumps (The tower) : The vision is hazy

Card which do nothing

  • The Ace of wands
  • The queen of wands
  • The king of wands
  • 2 of swords, Peace
  • 4 of swords, Truce
  • 5 of swords, Defeat
  • The queen of swords
  • 10 of shields, Satiety
  • 6 of rings, Success
  • 10 of rings, Wealth

Three card Monte

The aim of this game is simple : you choose a card, the card might or might not be the right one. You win your bet in credit. The more you play this game with a gypsie, the less you'll be winning.

Ninety nine

Ninety nine is a very simple game, when you know how to play. Otherwise, it's wicked. The aim of this game is to make the other forfeit. You can't have more than ninety nine points, or less than 0.

  • Kings : Put the score to ninety-nine. Always safe.
  • Queens and jacks : Diminish the points by 10. Safe most of the time.
  • The fool : can't be played. Will stay till the end of the game in your hand.
  • All other heads : Don't do anything to the points. Always safe to play.
  • All the other cards : Add their value to score.

Pawn gems

This allows you to sell gems for credit. By the time you encounter gypsies, however, I doubt you will need any money.
