Any item made of iron, copper, silver, gold, platinum, mithril or any other metal is considered metallic.[1]
Wearing metallic armor can make it more difficult to cast spells[2]. However, wearing a metallic helmet can reduce the damage you take from a falling rock[3], iron ball[4], piercer[5] or boulder[6]. Monsters can also protect themselves from falling boulders by wearing metallic helmets[7]
A metallivore can eat any metallic item[8]
