The nabassu is a monster added in SLASH'EM. It is a demonic spellcaster which can also drain life through its melee attacks.

Strategy

While their somewhat low base level generally prevents them from summoning nasties, nabassus just love to curse your items. This, combined with their relatively fast speed and tendency to haste themselves, makes them a high-priority target. If engaging them in melee, one should be sure to have drain resistance or good magic cancellation to protect against their life-draining attack. Be aware that unlike many other spellcasters, their melee attacks will still do a respectable amount of damage, although it is by no means insurmountable.
