An oilskin cloak is a type of cloak that appears in NetHack. It is made of cloth, and appears as a slippery cloak when unidentified.

Generation
Oilskin cloaks make up 0.8% of randomly generated cloaks.
Description
When worn, an oilskin cloak grants 1 base AC and MC2, and functions as a permanently greased cloak. A non-cursed oilskin cloak prevents all grabbing attacks from getting a hold on you, including drowning attacks commonly associated with sea monsters, and protects metal body armor worn under it from water damage.[1] A cursed oilskin cloak will only stop grabbing and protect armor 2⁄3 of the time.
Buying or selling an oilskin cloak in a shop will auto-identify the cloak.
