The orc-captain, o, is the strongest form of orc in NetHack. Unlike its brethren, it appears alone, and with the equipment of either a Mordor orc or Uruk-hai[1]. It is not significantly stronger than either of these, but can attack twice per turn despite its slow speed and is therefore probably best engaged at a distance.
Hill orcs, Uruk-hai, Mordor orcs and ordinary orcs can all grow up to be orc-captains.[2]
