Paper is a material. All scrolls and books are made of paper.

If the player is caught in any source of fire damage, paper items in their inventory have a chance of catching fire and burning, with the exception of the Book of the Dead.

Paper golems can be randomly generated in the Dungeons of Doom; they may also form as a result of polypiling several paper objects, and are instantly killed by some fire attacks.
