Brewing a potion of extreme power with a chemistry set takes four charges.

Description

Quaffing an uncursed potion increases your current and maximum health by 1-10 points if uncursed, while quaffing a blessed potion increases both by 1-20 points - this will not set your current hit points to the new maximum. Quaffing a cursed potion will instead reduce both your current and maximum health by 1-10 points, to a minimum of 1.
