A rubber hose is a rarely-seen weapon that appears in Nethack. While the rubber hose uses the whip skill, unlike the bullwhip, it can not be applied for special effects. However, it does slightly more damage, and does normal damage to thick-skinned monsters.
Generation
It is never randomly generated, and is only seen carried by Keystone Kops.
Strategy
It is not particularly useful as a weapon, and will mostly be considered polyfodder if not outright junk.
