A rutterkin is a minor demon added in SLASH'EM. It is similar to an imp, sharing its speed and regenerative abilities, but has more HD and a poison-branded attack.

Generation

Rutterkin are generated randomly. Like many other minor demons, they are not confined to Gehennom, though they can also be found there.

Strategy

By the time one encounters them, rutterkin are generally not a threat: the character will likely have poison resistance or at least good magic cancellation, and monster regeneration is less of a danger outside the early game, where characters (and monsters) do more damage.
