Shield block is a technique that appears in SlashTHEM and Hack'EM.

In SlashTHEM, Knights, Valkyries and Warriors gain this technique at experience level 1; Paladins and Gladiators gain the technique at level 3; and Undead Slayers and Priests gain it at level 7.

In Hack'EM, any role that can reach skilled in shield usage can learn this technique.

Description

Use of the shield block technique requires a worn shield. Upon use, it causes all physical attacks to be blocked by the worn shield, with the damage being subtracted from energy instead of HP. This effect lasts for 3d4 turns plus the technique's level.
