A silver short sword is a weapon in SLASH'EM and SporkHack. It has approximately the same properties as the ordinary short sword save that it is made of silver and thus erodeproof, in addition to doing more damage against silver-hating monsters. In SporkHack, it's a useful primary weapon for Tourists, and a solid offhand weapon for Valkyries, Knights and other roles limited to Skilled in two-weapon fighting.
The Sword of Balance is the only artifact silver short sword.[1] It is neutral and has a +2 to-hit and +5 damage against non-neutral monsters in addition to the silver damage.
