A spellbook of clairvoyance provides the clairvoyance divination spell, which magically maps a 19×11 area centered on your location.[1] The spell is blocked if you are wearing a cornuthaum and are not a Wizard.
Unlike the clairvoyance provided by aligned priests and some items, the clairvoyance spell only maps once per cast and does not persist as a recurring effect.
It is the special spell for samurai.
Messages
- "You sense a pointy hat on top of your <head>."
- The spell was blocked by a cornuthaum.[2]
Strategy
This spell is a passable alternative to magic mapping. Samurai get a bonus reduction in failure rate for this spell, but will still have a hard time ever casting it since they cannot advance the divination skill and will usually want to wear the best armour available regardless of material.
