Other metallic items

How does rust affect steel rings, steel wands and iron balls? At least rings and wands can be wished for as rustproof. It would make sense that a rusty +1 ring of increase accuracy would work as a +0 ring of increase accuracy, for example. --ZeroOne 17:26, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

As far as I know, rust has no effect on rings, wands, or iron balls. I'm not sure I agree with you about the rusty +1 ring of accuracy; a rusty +1 helm of brilliance still adds one to your int and wis, it just offers less protection due to being rusty. The magic is still wholly intact, even if what it inhabits isn't. --Eidolos 17:31, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Fooproof

Can someone explain what a fooproof item is? At the moment its just a redirect to here.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Gavin77 (talkcontribs)

"Fooproof" is a catchall term for rustproof, fireproof, etc.; it covers all of them. For the origin and meaning of "foo", see the Jargon File.--Ray Chason 15:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Blessed items

Someone added this: "In addition to erode-proofing, blessed items will resist erosion two thirds of the time." Actually it's based on luck, from rnd.c#rnl. Could somebody make a table for that? It'd probably be better than trying to calculate it manually. For now, I'll just add a reference to that article.
