A wombat, z, is a type of monster that appears in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM, SpliceHack, and Hack'EM. It is a herbivorous domestic animal that possesses a kick and a bite attack.

Strategy

The wombat is a rather unremarkable monster - it possesses a middling 5 AC and can move at the same speed as an unhasted and unburdened hero, but otherwise lacks any noteworthy traits and can usually be taken out with little trouble.

Origin

Wombats are short-legged, muscular quadrupedal marsupials that are native to Australia. A wombat is about 1 meter (40 in) in length with a small, stubby tail, and weighs between 20 and 35 kg (44 and 77 lb). Wombats are adaptable and habitat tolerant, and are found in forested, mountainous, and heathland areas of southern and eastern Australia - this includes Tasmania and an isolated patch of more than 700 acres in Epping Forest National Park within central Queensland.
