Forum:Mirroring the wiki
I'm from the Computer Science House at RIT, and we maintain our own fork of Nethack (mostly just insert inside jokes into it).
I'd like to mirror the nethack wiki on one of our servers, the reduced latency would be convenient for our users.
Any chances of me getting a dump or something? I don't need updates or anything, just a one time dump of the wiki.
Thanks, --Dgonyeo (talk) 21:36, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
It looks like what I want is an XML dump.

I tried this (and untarred the images) and got
- some garbled pages with template errors
- no main page
I'm using the same MW version (1.24.1). I'm wondering if perhaps there are some extension I'm missing...? Raindog308 (talk) 01:18, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- Take a look at Special:Version for extensions; pretty sure some of those are rather important. (The XML dump can be found on the NetHackWiki:Download page.) —bcode talk | mail 12:34, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
