Options (CrecelleHack)

CrecelleHack has options that are not available in NetHack.

Boolean Options

altstarts

Enables alternate starting locations for certain roles and races. At present, this causes gnomish players to begin the game at the top level of the Gnomish Mines. Defaults to On.

bold_coatings

Indicates areas covered by coatings using bold. Defaults to on.

char_blurbs

Displays small blurbs about character choices at character creation. Defaults to off.

color_coatings

Indicates areas covered by coatings using colors. Defaults to on.

color_surfaces

Indicates non-stone floors using color. Defaults to on.

dnh_enlightenment

Alters the enlightenment menu to mimic the user interface of dNetHack, allowing players to select which aspects of their character they wish to view information about. Defaults to off.

drip_messages

Enables messages if the player is dripping with liquid. Defaults to on.

implicit_medium

Omits "medium" from medium-sized items if possible. Defaults to on.

implicit_material

Omits the material of the item from its name if it is made of the default material for its type. Defaults to on.

invisible_dye

Display dyed items with their usual item colors. Defaults to off.

invisible_material

Display items with non-default materials in their usual colors. Defaults to off.

invweight

Displays the weight of objects. Defaults to on.

no_flipped_soko

Disable level flipping in Sokoban. Enabling this option will be noted in the end-of-game dumplog. Defaults to off.

obscure_role_obj_names

Do not rename the items of roles with renamed items, such as Samurai. Defaults to off.

perfect_bestiary

Disable the system in which the player must encounter monsters before learning about their stats. Enabling this option will be noted in the end-of-game dumplog. Defaults to off.

player_sized_wishes

Automatically size all wishes to the size of the player. Defaults to on.

shorten_buc

Shortens beatitude text to a simple plus or minus. Defaults to off.

Compound Options

koboldname

Name of the player's starting pet if it is a kobold.

orientation

Controls foocubus interactions. Valid options are straight, gay, and bisexual.

taunt

A custom string of the taunt extended command, preceded by "You".
