A staff of holiness is a type of weapon that appears in SporkHack. It is a two-handed spell staff that uses the quarterstaff skill. The staff of holiness is made of wood and appears as a "staff" when unidentified, an appearance that it shares with the quarterstaff and the other spell staves.
Generation
Staves of holiness make up 1⁄200 (0.5%) of all weapons randomly generated on the ground, in general shops or as death drops. Used armor dealerships and antique weapons outlets can also stock staves of holiness.
Description
The staff of holiness deals 1d6 damage to both small and large monsters. A hero wielding a staff of holiness gains a flat 50% reduction in the spellcasting failure rate of clerical spells, which is applied after all other checks besides the check for metallic body armor.
