Talk:Purple rain

• Is "purple rain" a term used in the NetHack fandom, then? Because I've never seen it, so this page probably shouldn't exist. --Kahran042 (talk) 18:01, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

It's been used to refer to clearing Astral out by using swarms of tamed and/or conflicted purple worms - I've seen it plenty of times. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 18:05, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

In my IRC logs, I mostly see it used in association with TNNT, because "Purple Rain" is the name of an achievement, but I also see it used sometimes in general NetHack discussion. It is certainly more convenient to say than "summoning purple worms on Astral and having them eat everything". --Cathartes (talk) 18:37, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
