Talk:Red mold

Looks like Red Mold is polymorph trap resistant. My pet turned into one and doesn't change into anything else anymore.--Wildo (talk) 18:10, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

That's not a resistance. A monster needs to move onto a polymorph trap for it to affect them, and red molds are sessile. You can still polymorph it provided you can move it off the trap somehow—got a magic whistle on hand? --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 20:38, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

I did have a magic whistle. I moved the red mold on and off from the trap several times and nothiing happened until some hundred turns later I got a second pet and polymorphed that (I'm not exactly sure which one polymorphed first). Anyway, I saw that red mold is not resistant.--Wildo (talk) 04:32, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Unlucky. You can just leave it behind and deal with it later when it untames—but if you REALLY really wanna keep it for some reason you'll have to try and displace it off the polymorph trap and then back into it somehow, which I do not recommend doing without magic resistance or unchanging. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 04:41, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
