User talk:MrSurvivor1997
Welcome!
Hi, MrSurvivor1997! Welcome, and thanks for joining NetHackWiki!
- The How to help and Style guide pages are excellent starting points.
- Special:Recentchanges is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
- Questions? Need help? You can ask at the Community Portal, the forum, or on the discussion page associated with each article! Just remember to sign those posts with four tildes: ~~~~. That will expand to create a signature.
You can put {{NAOplayer|NAO player account}} on your user page to link to your NAO player account. Capitalization matters.
We are really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!
This is an automated greeting.

Note
Regarding bolding the subject of articles, that's generally only applied if a redirect points there - "night child" can refer to a few wolven monsters, so thing like those redirect to the vampire monster class and its message section (since only vampires give that dialogue anyway). I've put a section on the wolf article with regards to messages, including a pointer that leads to the same one. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 20:05, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Forgot to note - I also stuck a note in the lede of the wolf article. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 20:08, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Undone edits
The mindless article is not specific to dNetHack, so your edit was unnecessary and I have undone it. Ditto the pharaoh article
I also want to note that this has been something of a recurring pattern for more than a few of your edits, and I implore you to pay attention when adding stuff to pages—consider if it is actually important or relevant to the article in question, or trivia that can ultimately be done without, and for trivia consider whether the associations you make between any two things are actually commonplace or just something specific to you. Try to assume that an article is specific about NetHack, unless the lede or title indicates otherwise, and if it is a NetHack article then consider whether what you noting belongs in the main sections or a variant section (if indeed the article has or needs one). Refer to the Style Guide for further information.
I should make clear this is also not any form of official administrative action, just encouragement to improve your editing. As indicated, we still have to bring several vanilla articles to a baseline standard (and solidify that standard itself), so penalizing you would be unfair in this specific regard anyway. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 04:18, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
