In NetHack, an organic object is an object with a material type of:[1]
Description
Organic items are vulnerable to fire, and can rot away if buried.[2].
If engulfed by a gelatinous cube, an organic item has a 95% probability of dissolving (5% for artifacts, never for unique items and Rider corpses).[3]
