Amorphous

Some monsters are considered amorphous, meaning they have no fixed shape or form.

Among other effects, amorphous monsters cannot be caught in bear traps.

List of amorphous monsters

The following monsters are amorphous:

• all j jellies:
  • j blue jelly
  • j spotted jelly
  • j ochre jelly
• all m mimics:
  • m small mimic
  • m large mimic
  • m giant mimic
• v fog cloud
• both y lights:
  • y yellow light
  • y black light
• all P puddings and oozes:
  • P gray ooze
  • P brown pudding
  • P black pudding
  • P green slime
• & Juiblex

Internals

Amorphous monsters are identified by the macro amorphous(ptr), which checks for the flag M1_AMORPHOUS.
