Barbarian

The barbarian is one of the player classes in NetHack. Barbarians can be either neutral or chaotic, and can be either humans or orcs.

Barbarians start out with a poison resistance, and are excellent melee fighters, so they're probably the easiest class for the new player.

Starting Equipment

• two-handed sword or battle-axe
• axe or short sword
• ring mail
• food ration
• 16% chance of an oil lamp

Barbarian's special spell is haste self
