The ring of aggravate monster is a rather annoying ring, and is usually (90% of the time) cursed. Wearing (or eating) it gives you the property of aggravate monster.

Identification

When dropping this ring down a sink, you receive the message: "Several flies buzz angrily around the sink." (This also works while blind.)

Strategy

Because this ring generally has no useful effects, it is typically best to simply ignore it, or polymorph it if you have spare charges or power.

One possible use for this ring is luring monsters to a desired location, such as an altar, when you are invisible.
