Speed boots (also dubbed boots of speed) are a popular boot in an ascension kit because they are the only way to permanently become very fast.
Though tediously, jumping boots let you move even faster, but at the cost of nutrition.
You might want to read up on speed, and in particular the difference between turns and actions.
