A jumping spider, s, is a type of monster that appears in EvilHack and Hack'EM. It is a type of spider that has the ability to jump at you and other monsters, spin webs, and hide themselves under objects like most other arachnids and centipedes can. Drow can tame jumping spiders as domestic animals.
A jumping spider has a poisonous bite attack, and possesses poison resistance.
A jumping spider corpse is poisonous to eat, but eating a jumping spider corpse or tin conveys 1⁄20 poison resistance.

Randomly generated jumping spiders are always created hostile.
Jumping spiders appear among the random s that are part of the first quest monster class for Tourists and make up 24⁄175 of the monsters randomly generated on the Tourist quest. They also appear among the random s that are part of the second quest monster class for Rangers and make up 6⁄175 of the monsters randomly generated on the Ranger quest.
Hostile jumping spiders can be generated by the summon insects monster spell when cast by Lolth or a drow monster.
