A gigantic pseudodragon:
|
A gigantic pseudodragon, D, is a type of monster that appears in dNetHack and notdNetHack. It is a carnivorous and domestic dragon-like creature that is the strongest of the pseudodragons. Gigantic pseudodragons are capable of flight, have a tendency to wander, will pick up gold and gems, and can be seen via infravision.
A gigantic pseudodragon has a bite attack, two claw attacks, and a breath weapon similar to that of half-dragons.
Generation
Gigantic pseudodragons are not randomly generated. A huge pseudodragon can grow up into a gigantic pseudodragon.
A gigantic pseudodragon may be generated as the guard of a magic item vault.
Origin
Pseudodragons originate from Dungeons & Dragons, where they resemble true dragons in appearance but are usually far smaller and far more docile, which makes them suitable as familiars for wizards. They do not usually grow to the sizes shown in dNetHack and notdNetHack, which rivals that of the true dragons in those variants.
