A heavy hammer is a type of melee weapon that appears in SlashTHEM. It is a two-handed weapon that uses the hammer skill and is made of metal.

The heavy hammer is the base item for the artifacts Mjollnir and Warforger.

Generation

The heavy hammer is quite rare and makes up ¹⁄₅₀₀ (0.2%) of all randomly-generated weapons. General stores, used armor dealerships and antique weapon outlets can stock heavy hammers.

Upgrading a war hammer can create a heavy hammer, and vice versa.

Description

The heavy hammer is much more powerful than the standard war hammer and the heavy hammer of SLASH'EM, dealing 2d8 base damage to small monsters and 2d10 to large monsters.

Strategy

Compared to SLASH'EM, heavy hammers in SlashTHEM are much more powerful, giving artifact heavy hammers better damage against monsters that resist their damage bonuses, but they cannot be used with twoweaponing or shields.
